癌症治療大躍進，中國醫藥大學附設醫院研究團隊以患者自體樹突細胞製成「腦癌疫苗」，為接受手術、放、化療後的患者施打，患者２年存活率達43％，這項成果遠高於全球其他採自體免疫療法的醫療團隊，且已申請全球專利，未來除腦癌患者受益，也可望造福其他癌友。

自體免疫細胞療法是癌症治療的新趨勢，也是各醫療研發團隊競相爭逐的戰場，中國醫藥大學附設醫院10年前即投入腦癌疫苗研發，經過動物、兩階段臨床試驗，不斷修正進化，並已展開全球的專利申請，有27名接受臨床治療的病患，其２年存活率從傳統治療26％提升到43％，甚至有病患已10年腦癌未復發！

中國附醫總院長周德陽指出，惡性腦癌是目前最難治療的癌症，臨床治療發現，即使是經手術、放射治療及標靶治療，患者平均存活率只有15個月，但中國附醫研究團隊近年動物細胞及臨床試驗顯示，細胞免疫治療可讓患者存活時間增加１倍。研究並發現免疫細胞特定的生物標搶先看記PD1，左右腦癌疫苗治療成果，以此篩選做個人化治療，患者的存活率可延長到４倍以上。

自體血液培養細胞

周德陽說，研發團隊使用的腦癌疫苗，是從腦癌患者周邊血液分離出樹突細胞與手術取出的腦癌細胞一起培養，使樹突細胞活化，同時訓練它辨識及殲滅腦癌細胞的能力，再打回病人身上，借以刺激患者自體免疫反應，有效攻擊殘存的腦癌細胞。

採腦癌疫苗治療的優點是，其殺癌的作用機轉是發動自己的免疫細胞去「清理門戶」，這些免疫細胞會辨識並專門攻擊癌細胞，不會傷害正常細胞，幾乎可說無副作用，也不會產生過敏排斥反應；加上免疫細胞具記憶特性，輸入病人體內即使細胞演化繁殖，也帶著這樣的記憶，會持續搜索及清除癌細胞，有效防止癌症復發與轉移。

目前申請３項專利

這項研發成果，對面臨癌症威脅的民眾無疑是一大福音。周德陽說，惡性腦癌是存活率最低的癌症，如果最難治的都解決了，其他的癌症就不成問題，意即在腦癌之後，其他如肺癌、乳癌等癌症都適用於這種免疫療法。

在基礎研究及臨床獲重大突破後，中國附醫也著手打造一座世界級GMP標準的細胞治療工廠，並向台灣食藥署及美國食藥署申請臨床試驗，目前已申請３項專利，且將技轉予中醫大衍生公司，中醫大將這項計畫稱之為「登陸月球計畫」，中醫大一小步，台灣生技一大步，要在年產值達400億美金（約1.2兆台幣）的免疫治療市場中搶占先機。
